  UNSW College was the first to offer foundation studies programs in Australia and has gone on to help over 40,000 graduates achieve their dreams of studying at university. The programs offered at UNSW College provide students with the academic and study skills needed for university, while enhancing students' English proficiency.

Diploma programs

A UNSW Diploma in architecture, business, computer science, engineering, media or science provides students with a direct pathway to the second year of their chosen degree.

  The programs are designed to provide international students with an alternative path for direct entry into a UNSW degree. Successful completion of the 12-month program will allow students to progress into the second year of a bachelor's degree in architecture, business (commerce or economics), computer science, engineering, media or science at UNSW Sydney.

Foundation studies

UNSW Foundation Studies was Australia's first university foundation studies program and helps provide students with pathways to all bachelor's degrees at UNSW.

  The duration of the program ranges from 4 to 15 months based on a student's English language skills and academic background. Through foundation studies programs, students will enjoy a smooth transition into UNSW Sydney and be prepared to meet all required academic demands for their chosen degree.

  Foundation studies programs are taught to international students by experienced teachers in a diverse, engaging and supportive study environment. Students will also be supported throughout their study at UNSW College through learning support resources, extra consultations, a study club and more.

  UNSW College has over n 40,000 alumni students who have successfully completed one of its pathway programs and are enjoying success at university and in their dream careers.

  

English language courses

UNSW College's English pathway courses are developed to help international students improve their English language skills and meet UNSW English language entry requirements. They also help students prepare for success at university and in their career.

  These courses are delivered by the first university languages centre of Australia. More than 4,000 students progress through these English language courses every year.

  Classes are delivered for students at the UNSW campuses providing them access to the university's social surroundings and facilities.

  International students who haven't met the English language entry requirements can choose from a variety of study options including the Essential Academic English (EAE), Foundation English Entry Courses (FEEC), and University English Entry Courses (UEEC).

  

Admissions

How to Apply

Applicants to a course or program at UNSW Sydney will need to complete the following steps to gain admission into the university.

  

Step 1

Students can apply online and will need to provide their latest academic results (such as their high school reports, academic qualifications), evidence of English language proficiency (such as IELTS or TOEFL results), if available, and a copy of their passport.

  

Step 2

Once the application is received, it will be assessed. Eligible students will receive a letter of offer. They must then accept the offer and pay the required deposit and fees to gain admission.

  Step 3

  Students will receive an electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) from the UNSW Sydney admissions team.

  

Step 4

Students will be provided with information about their enrolment and orientation prior to starting their program of study.

Student life

Classes are held at UNSW Kensington campus. Students are just 20 minutes from the centre of Sydney by tram, or a short bus ride from famous beaches, shopping centres, parks, and much more.

Facilities include the UNSW fitness and aquatic centre, libraries, the student support centre, tennis courts and sporting fields.
