In the latest Research Excellence Framework (2014), Warwick was ranked 7th amongst UK research universities. International students that require a visa to study in the UK may also need to submit evidence of an English language test (e.g., IELTS) instead of an examination due to the visa restrictions set by the government.
Students can showcase their English language competency by taking a GCSE English Language qualification, or through English courses within the International Baccalaureate. Other accepted English tests include IELTS and PTE, but these qualifications must be completed within the two years leading up to the start of degree study.

International students who already hold an undergraduate offer for 2022 entry can also apply for the recently launched Global Excellence Scholarships. There are 250 scholarships under this programme, which will be awarded to exceptional international students who are self-funded.
However, private education loans aren't easy to secure, as student visas and proof of sufficient income are often required before loans can be awarded. The university's Student Finance Office can provide more information for students who wish to explore this option.

The Students' Union nightclub hosts a range of themed nights, and the campus pub, The Dirty Duck, hosts live music throughout the year.

The on-site facilities are always being developed to further enhance student's experience and education. This includes a brand-new Faculty of Arts building and Interdisciplinary Biomedical Research Building.
