Its courses are assessed in various ways. Throughout their course, students may complete a variety of tasks including class work, assignments, practical components and project work. Many programmes as well as certain nationalities may need higher IELTS (Academic) when compared with the minimum score of IELTS 5.5 and/or comprise of specific sub-score requirements.

Once the students receive their letter of offer, they must accept and pay for their offer. Students must then receive their Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE - required for lodging a visa application).
They must then apply for their visa. Applicants for an international student visa, who are under 18 years of age will be accepted by TAFE Queensland if they establish with certainty that they will be accompanied by a legal custodian, parent, or a suitable relative whose age is 21 years or above.
