  The university's courses prepare students to graduate real-world ready with the skills they need to find a career in Australia and abroad. What's new

Technologies such as robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) are transforming the world. AI in particular is already creating a lasting impact across medical technology, cyber security, manufacturing systems, self-driving vehicles, and so much more. QUT is recognised as a top institution in the field of robotics and is among the best universities for students to develop their career in robotics and artificial intelligence.

  QUT has launched a new Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/Master of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence course, which offers students the chance to graduate with both a bachelor's and master's degree in five years, thus helping to fast-track their ability to contribute to complex AI and robotics projects. This double degree aims to combine required foundational engineering skills with the advanced technical and project management knowledge and acumen needed to lead projects in robotics and AI.

Entry requirements

Applying to QUT is easy. Students need to submit an application for study through the QUT Application Portal. Applicants will then be directed to create an account and from there they can start the application process.

  Applicants will need to include all supporting documents including:

  Secondary school completion certificate, academic transcripts and records English language proficiency test results Passport identity pageQUT accepts English language proficiency results from several standardised tests taken in the past two years. Students must check individual program pages to view details. The university accepts results from the following English tests:

  IELTS Academic TOEFL iBT Pearson PTE (Academic)If students do not meet the required English language test scores or adequate academic requirements for their preferred courses, the university may offer them a course package, which incorporates their degree with an English language or pathway program to help them acquire the required level of proficiency in the language.

  

Scholarships & funding

QUT wants its students to succeed in their studies. The university's scholarships for international students can help students achieve their best through financial support, work experience and networking opportunities. QUT make things easy for its students by ensuring that for some of the scholarships, applicants will automatically be considered when applying to QUT.

  

International Merit Scholarship

This is a high-achievement scholarship for future international undergraduate and postgraduate students. Features of the scholarship are as follows:

  Covers 25 percent of tuition fees for the first two semesters (one year) of study at QUT. Available across all faculties. Ongoing scholarship of 25 percent per semester for selected courses.Applicants will be automatically considered for the International Merit Scholarship when they apply to QUT.

Facilities

QUT has two vibrant inner-city campuses in the heart of Brisbane: Gardens Point and Kelvin Grove. Students are close to all the action, with cultural and commercial hubs within walking distance of each. Students can travel between each campus with ease on the free shuttle bus that runs every 15 minutes. Both campuses offer performance and arts venues, fitness and medical facilities, shops and food outlets. The Gardens Point campus borders the Brisbane Botanic Gardens, which is where the name comes from.

  

Amazing facilities

Students can access high-tech study and collaborative learning spaces including workshops and simulation centres. The university's Education Precinct offers learning spaces, study pods and community areas interwoven with nature and technology. This space houses the Sphere-a digital LED globe that features a changing menu of visual content. There is also The Cube, an advanced interactive digital space, in the Science and Engineering Centre.

  The university's Economics and Finance Bloomberg Lab gives students the opportunity to conduct financial analysis with actual real-time data. QUT health students can work with real patients under the supervision of experienced healthcare professionals at on-campus health clinics and simulation spaces.
