The OSU Center for Health Sciences Department of Wellness has also launched a new mental health initiative. The online platform shares resources, self-help modules and has expanded mental health services for students both on and off-campus.

The range of scholarships and funding provided by the university further help to make it an affordable institution for students to attend. Almost 50 percent of students graduate with no debt, with the average debt being USD 22,591, which is below the national average.
International students are eligible for a range of scholarships, varying between USD 4,000 – 10,000 per academic year. No additional application for scholarships is required, as international students are automatically considered when they apply for admission to OSU.
Scholarships provided by the university include the International Achievement Freshman Scholarship and International Transfer Achievement Scholarship. Both are based on English language test scores, SAT scores and GPA scores, and award recipients with a partial tuition fee waiver.
The Alumni Legacy Scholarship is based on whether a parent or grandparent graduated from OSU and awards a partial tuition waiver. Students are required to submit a form to be eligible for this scholarship.
Students are also considered for several competitive academic scholarships. Awards and requirements are unique to each academic college, and are usually assessed on academic test results, community engagement, essay responses, interviews, and auditions.
