Overview
Fanshawe College is located in London, Ontario, Canada, only two hours from Toronto, Niagara Falls, and Detroit in the United States. London is known as the ‘Forest City’ and is surrounded by beautiful parks and lakes, as well as being a vibrant business and cultural hub. There are currently 21,000 full-time students at Fanshawe College, including 6,500 international students from 100 different countries.
As one of Ontario's largest colleges, with additional campuses in Simcoe, St. Thomas and Woodstock, as well as campuses in downtown London and London South, Fanshawe offers more than 200 programs at degree, diploma and certificate level.
Fanshawe’s main campus sits on 100 acres of scenic property and includes state-of-the-art learning and athletic facilities. Students can choose from Homestay, on-campus residence or private rentals for their accommodation. All full-time London students receive a London Transit bus pass as part of their fees, as well as access to the Student Wellness Centre. There are many clubs and athletic teams to join or cheer for, and Fanshawe’s International Centre provides ongoing support.
Fanshawe offers more than CAD 5 million in scholarships, including some designed specifically for international students. The college focuses on co-operative education, which integrates academic learning and employment allowing students to “earn while they learn”. The Centre for Research and Innovation enables students to provide solutions to real-world problems presented by industry partners.
As a member of the Canadian Bureau of International Education, student exchange opportunities are available in Europe, South America, and Asia. Other partnerships provide opportunities for students to explore over 500 academic pathways across Canada and around the world.
Students at Fanshawe are well prepared for professional life. 90.3 percent of Fanshawe graduates find employment within six months of graduating, and 85.8 percent of employers are satisfied with their performances (KPIs 2018-19). According to recently released Key Performance Indicators (KPI) survey results, Fanshawe College graduates rank first in the province for finding employment upon graduation. Survey results indicate 90.3 per cent of Fanshawe alumni find jobs within six months of graduating, exceeding the provincial average of all Ontario colleges by more than four per cent.
With a student satisfaction rate of 77.8 per cent, the results also indicate the college is providing exceptional on campus experiences to students, exceeding the provincial average of 75.7 per cent.
"We are very proud of this year's survey results," said Fanshawe President Peter Devlin. "They are a testament to the hard work of our faculty and staff who prepare our students for careers upon graduation,” he added.
The college also exceeded the provincial average and led all large colleges in Ontario in the following categories:
When surveyed six months after graduation, 81.2 per cent of Fanshawe alumni report being pleased with their college education. Fanshawe's overall graduation rate of 69.5 per cent is two per cent above the provincial average of 67.2 per cent. The graduation rates for three and four year programs also ranked first among large colleges.Additionally, employers who hire Fanshawe graduates are satisfied with the skills and contributions of graduates who work for them, reporting a satisfaction rate of 85.8 per cent.
"While these results show Fanshawe is a leader among large colleges in Ontario, we continue to look for ways to improve our services to students and alumni and providing leading-edge programming to meet the needs of our employers," remarked Devlin.

Living expenses: *CAD 10,000 – CAD 12,000 Books and other expenses: *CAD 500 – CAD 2,000*All fees are in Canadian dollars and approximate depending on the program of study. The LTC bus pass is included for full-time London campus students. Housing costs are dependent on living situation (type of accommodation), with on-site residence students having a mandatory meal plan included in fees.
