Clark University was founded in 1887 as the first all-graduate school in the nation, and continues to pave the way in research and innovation. Today, Clark University promotes a rigorous liberal arts curriculum within the context of a research experience which addresses social and scientific challenges on a global scale.
The university is located in Worcester, Massachusetts, New England's second largest city. Known as ‘the Heart of New England', the 50-acre campus is lined with trees and grand architecture. The city offers great entertainment, social activities and career opportunities. It takes only one hour to travel to Boston, and New York City can be reached in under four hours by car.
Clark University's School of Management is proud to be AACSB accredited, the highest standard of achievement for business education. This distinction is earned by less than 5% of the 13,000+ business schools worldwide.
In the fall of 2023, the university's Becker School of Design & Technology has a new home at Clark University. A brand-new Center for Media Arts, Computing and Design will provide a fantastic new home for the CBDT and the Computer Science Department, as well as supporting enhanced delivery of some programs from the Department of Visual and Performing Arts.
The building will act as a central hub for innovative new projects and interdisciplinary research efforts. State-of-the-art computer labs, virtual and augmented reality areas, robotics workshops and production studios are just some of the facilities students will find there.
Located just southeast of the Strassler Centre, it's close to the Goddard Library and offers easy connections to the rest of the university's buildings.
''Students will have a place to congregate with students from other disciplines, and I think that's probably the greatest feature of this New building,'' says Paul Cotnoir, dean of the Becker School.
Clark hopes to attain a LEED Gold certification for the building, with sustainable features and heating and cooling primarily provided through geothermal wells.
Clark University is a distinctly collaborative and inclusive environment, and the university's teaching staff are recognized as experts in their fields. Small class sizes allow students to connect one-on-one with accomplished practitioners.
