Students who don't meet the English requirements or want to improve their language skills can attend pre-sessional or foundation courses through Cardiff Met's English Language Training Centre. International students are automatically assessed for scholarship awards, so they won't need to submit a separate application. Scholarship awards will be mentioned in student's offer letters from the university.

Cardiff Met Sanctuary award: Scholarship for postgraduate students seeking UK sanctuary. Global Wales postgraduate scholarship: GBP 10,000 for eligible masters' students from India, Vietnam, USA and the EU. MBA scholarship – GBP 1,000 to MBA students based on academic and/or professional achievements. South East Asia scholarship – 50 per cent off tuition fees for students from South East Asia. Undergraduate scholarship – awards GBP 1,000 to eligible students. Vice chancellor scholarship – GBP 1,500 to eligible MA and MSc students.
