About the course

The Undergraduate Certificate in Theatre and Performance is designed to develop competencies in the analysis, creation, and production of performance with a particular focus on small-group and solo performance in the urban context.

　　This program exposes students to numerous cultural and theoretical perspectives from which to engage current scholarship in the field of theatre and performance. The students develop skills in all aspects of theatre and performance, including oral interpretation, acting, directing, script analysis, educational theatre, literary analysis, creative production, arts management, and professional and community theatre with special emphasis on solo and small-group performance.

　　Students are exposed to a broad interdisciplinary background in the field of theatre and performance and the role performance serves in society. How to apply

Entry requirements for Indiana University - Purdue University Indianapolis

You have completed or will complete secondary school by the time of enrollment. No grade point average guarantees admission to IUPUI. We look for applicants who have demonstrated a B average or above average grades, with strong grades in math and science. SAT or ACT exam scores are not required for admission nor our merit scholarships.
