About the course

This program is designed to provide the technical and practical knowledge necessary to run, maintain and repair marine diesel engines. We offer workshop, classroom and work term experience that all prepare you for a career in the operation and maintenance of marine diesel engines and auxiliary equipment. How to apply

Entry requirements for Memorial University of Newfoundland

Adherence to our Application and Admission Regulations either upon high school graduation (following a period of employment subsequent to graduation), or by transfer from another post-secondary institution.

　　Proof of satisfactory physical fitness, visual acuity, colour vision, hearing, etc. prior to writing Transport Canada exams. It must be provided by way of a signed Transport Canada Seafarer's medical from an approved physician.

　　Minimum score of 24 on the IB Diploma with completion of the required subject areas or completion of another recognized High School diploma program.

　　Interim High School transcript or predicted IB grades. Documents can be official or unofficial.

　　Final official high school transcript sent by post or courier directly from the school to the Office of the Registrar or final IB results sent electronically directly from the IB Organization.

　　TOEFL - A minimum score of 550 on the paper-based test, a minimum overall score of 79 on the internet-based test with at least 20 in each of reading and writing, and no less than 17 in listening and speaking. IELTS - A minimum overall band score of 6.5, with at least band 6 in each of writing and reading.
