About the course

Both clinical and non-clinical applicants are welcomed

　　You will be studying within the MRC Centre for Medical Mycology – a world-leading research centre that is helping to tackle the major global threats to human health caused by fungal diseases

　　The course covers aspects of medical mycology, immunity, the molecular basis of infection, and the genomics of infectious disease

　　Participants will undertake a 6-month project, selecting their topic from peer-reviewed projects on fungal pathogen biology or host-pathogen interactions. (Note that MRC Centre-funded students on our MRes-PhD Programme do two 3-month projects instead.)

How to apply

Entry requirements for University of Exeter

Normally at least a 2:1 Honours degree or equivalent in a biological or agricultural relevant subject. Consideration may be given to appropriate professional background on a case-by-case basis involving an interview. A strong interest in food security and/or sustainable agriculture is required. IELTS (Academic) - Overall score 6.5. No less than 6.0 in any section. TOEFL IBT* - Overall score 90 with minimum scores of 21 for writing, 21 for listening, 22 for reading and 23 for speaking.
