About the course
The University of Alberta Master of Science in Internetworking (MINT) graduate program prepares students for a career as a network engineer.It is a two-year, fully-accredited, course-based program led by industry leaders and jointly offered by the Faculties of Engineering and Science through their Departments of Computing Science and Electrical and Computer Engineering. The program has been operating since 2004 and is designed with the working professional in mind. It teaches up-to-date technical knowledge, advanced problem solving skills and the industry experience needed to lead large-scale Internet project teams as well as develop the architectures for complex network implementations. Our program is mainly targeted at working professionals. Classes are scheduled in intensive weekend format so that you can maintain regular weekday employment. However due to instructor availability some courses may not be offered on weekends. In most cases we can make alternate arrangements. Entry requirements for University of Alberta
Applicants are normally required to have completed a four-year baccalaureate degree, or its academic equivalent, from an academic institution recognized by the University of Alberta.A minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4 point scale or equivalent in the last two years of previous relevant studies. Please note: having a minimum 3.0 or equivalent does not guarantee that your application will be successful”. Admission is competitive and applicants will be ranked with all applicants in a given admission year.TOEFL: a minimum score of 100 (Internet based) with at least a 20 on the individual skill areas. IELTS: a minimum score of 7.0 but will consider a 6.5 with at least a 5 on each band.
