About the course
The data science in biomedicine track is offered under the computer science master of science degree program for students who choose Plan I - Thesis. Data science has emerged as an essential complement to scientific discovery with a widespread and growing set of applications in almost all disciplines, including biomedicine, health informatics, precision and personalized medicine, business analytics, intelligent transportation, cybersecurity and more. Students who choose this track will adopt biomedical applications of data science to learn data science methodologies and technologies. Graduates of this master of science track will have an official designation of data science training within their degree, which will help with employment and other opportunities. Entry requirements for University of Colorado - Denver
Statement of purpose – must be an original essay submitted with application. Scanned copies will not be accepted for submission.
Official transcripts – we require one official copy of each previous transcript.

For master's programs, applicants must submit evidence of adequate preparation for graduate study by either (a) submitting official GRE scores, or (b) documenting an earned bachelor’s degree with a GPA of 3.00 or higher from an institution accredited by a U.S. accreditation body, or an earned master’s degree with a GPA of 3.50 or higher from an institution accredited by a U.S. accreditation body. Use Institution Code 4875. Do not submit additional department codes.
