The MSc will take you between two and two and half years of full-time study or up to four years part time. In the first year of your MSc you'll take several courses related to your specialist subject area. Next, you'll carry out in-depth supervised research for 12–15 months and write a thesis. During your studies you might also author publications for peer-reviewed journals.
Take your understanding and skills to an expert level. Study the science behind computers in more detail, building on your undergraduate degree or your professional experience. You'll enhance your ability to think critically and creatively about concepts and techniques in computer science, network engineering and software engineering.Choose from a wide range of topics including machine learning, data mining, artificial intelligence agents, security engineering and app development. Or focus on software and study advanced courses in programming, software development, data warehousing and web engineering.
You'll also have the opportunity to carry out independent research, gaining a deeper understanding of your area of interest.
