About the course

Control of risk is a fundamental aspect of project management. This major complements the coverage of risk as a core competency in the project management program by provide opportunities to develop skills that enhance understanding of systemic risk through system dynamics modeling, and its management through integrated cost scheduling and control, computer applications and contracts. Disaster project management provides insight into the management of risk in a particular project context.

  The Master of Project Management is a postgraduate coursework degree that provides you with the advanced project management skills needed for hands-on project management.

Entry requirements for The University of Sydney

To be eligible for admission, an applicant is required to have:

  an Australian bachelor?s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Commerce, Engineering, Social Sciences, Health, etc.) with a credit average (65 percent) or equivalent qualification or

  an Australian bachelor's degree (with honours) in an unrelated discipline, or equivalent qualification or

  an Australian bachelor?s degree or equivalent qualification and relevant industry experience and certifications or

  a University of Sydney Graduate Diploma/Graduate Certificate in Project Management with a credit average (65 percent). Units completed in the graduate diploma/graduate certificate can be credited to the master?s degree.

  IELTS - A minimum result of 6.5 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band

  TOEFL IBT - A minimum result of 85 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing
