As one of the first and only programs of its kind within Canada, Engineering Practice is unique in its emphasis on employment-oriented skills within an engineering framework, blending courses in project management, entrepreneurship, engineering economics, engineering communications, etc., with advanced applied topics related to your engineering background.
The program focuses on enhancing the technical expertise of students, with a particular focus on internationally-trained engineers who have received their undergraduate degree from a university outside the Canadian Accreditation System. Unlike most university-based graduate degrees in engineering, whether research focused or professional master’s, this program specifically wishes to address the enhancement of engineering discipline knowledge while providing courses and elements to assist the transition to the workplace including professional development, project management and communication skills.
