About the course

The BGSU Master of Architecture degree pursues the convergence of technical and liberal arts to inspire and empower students like you to enhance the built environment.

  Bowling Green State University?s Master of Architecture (M.Arch.) program is for students who intend to become licensed architects. The two-year, professional M.Arch. degree builds on the four-year pre-professional Bachelor of Science in Architecture degree currently in operation ? or its equivalent from other institutions. The graduate architecture curriculum immerses students in rigorous coursework and hands-on experience in designing, researching, and developing architectural composition and then applying those learned skills in professional practice.

  This curriculum is ideal for individuals with a strong interest in expanding their entrepreneurial perspectives in anticipation of their future roles in a rapidly changing professional climate. The BGSU master of architecture curriculum immerses you in rigorous coursework and hands-on experience of the entire design process. Design is explored through topical investigation and studio projects that address diverse cultural, social, behavioral and physical needs and problems.

How to apply

Entry requirements for Bowling Green State University

Applicants must have graduated with a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university or complete the degree prior to enrollment. Students are advised to apply at least six months in advance for admission. International students should allow more time for the application process. All credentials submitted to BGSU become the property of BGSU and will not be released.

  The BGSU Master of Architecture program is for students who have met the admission standards and hold four-year Bachelor of Science degrees with a major in architecture from BGSU or an equivalent pre-professional degree from a domestic or international institution recognized by BGSU.

  A minimum GPA of a 3.0
