About the course

Our students enjoy working and collaborating with top faculty who are nationally and internationally renowned in their field. Our recent graduates have gone on to work at companies such as IBM, Ciena, Alcatel-Lucent and Ernst & Young, as well as to careers in academia. Training and education in cybersecurity falls far short of current needs, and what will be required in the future. Worldwide, there are 3.5 million unfilled cybersecurity positions. Such skills shortage leaves the public, private sectors, and governments vulnerable. Moreover, the global cost of cyber-attacks is believed to grow to 10.5 trillion by 2025. With these figures in mind, we need to develop talent in cybersecurity - and fast The Canadian Institute for Cybersecurity (CIC) at the University of New Brunswick is using 20 years of cyber- security innovation and talent development to provide a one-year Master of Applied Cybersecurity (MACSec). How to apply

Entry requirements for University of New Brunswick

The minimum entry requirements for the master's program are an undergraduate degree in computer science (or related discipline such as engineering or science), with a minimum GPA of B for the MCS by coursework & MACSec and normally a minimum of B+ for the MCS by thesis/report program. TOEFL Paper Based (minimum score of 550), including the Test of Written English — TWE (minimum score 4.0), TOEFL Computer Based TOEFL (minimum score 213) including the Test of Written English — TWE (minimum score of 4.0), TOEFL Internet Based TOEFL (Minimum score of 80) including the Test of Written English - TWE (minimum score of 25). IELTS Minimum score of band 7.
