About the course

A student wishing to enter the Engineer program must have completed the requirements of the MS in Materials Science and Engineering, and must file a petition requesting admission to the program, stating the type of research to be done and the proposed supervising professor. Once approved, the application for candidacy must be submitted to the department?s student services manager by the end of the second quarter in the Engineer program. Entry requirements for Stanford University

Minimum TOEFL Requirements ibt/pbt: 89/575. Applicants must hold, or expect to hold before enrollment at Stanford, a bachelor’s degree from a U.S. college or university accredited by a regional accrediting association.

　　The application consists of the following required materials, all of which must be received by the appropriate deadline for the application to be considered complete: Online application, statement of purpose and unofficial transcript(s). A minimum of three (3), maximum of six (6) recommendation letters submitted online directly by the recommenders. One (1) official transcript from all post-secondary institutions you have attended for at least one year in a degree program**.
