About the course

The Diploma of Game Design and Development introduces you to the fundamental concepts of computer science, digital storytelling and programming.

　　The diploma is equivalent to the first year of an undergraduate degree. If you successfully complete the diploma and meet the entry requirements, you can progress directly into the second year of the following degrees without losing any time, as you’ll receive credit for the units you complete in the diploma: Bachelor of Game Design and Development, Bachelor of Information Technology.

　　Fast-track to the second year of a bachelor degree

　　Undertake this diploma and be ideally prepared for entry into the second year of a Macquarie bachelor degree.

　　Deeply engage with your chosen area

　　Study two units in each term: business information systems, computer programming, multimodal storytelling and video games.
