About the course
The accredited Diploma of Community Services builds on your core competency, develops your specialised skills and equips you for a rewarding career in the community services sector. Learn to develop and implement service programs and trauma-informed care, analyse the impact of sociological factors on clients, and facilitate workplace debriefing and support processes. Depending on the elective subjects you choose, you may also learn to coordinate complex case requirements, assess co-existing needs, and identify and respond to children and young people at risk. The Diploma of Community Services provides you with an industry-recognised qualification, job-ready skills and advanced knowledge to work effectively as a caseworker or manager, welfare worker, team leader or domestic violence officer in the community.
