Learn the skills to care for people who may be living in community or residential care facilities and require assistance due to ageing, disability or other reasons. Gain the knowledge and skills to work effectively in the aged care industry, caring for the elderly, enabling them to maintain independence, understanding and supporting people with dementia, safety procedures, ethical behaviour, infection control, working with cultural diversity, and workplace health and safety.This qualification combines both theory and practical training and has a compulsory, supervised work placement where you can use all the skills and knowledge gained throughout your studies.
