BSc (Hons) in Financial Risk Management (with a Year in Industry)

About the course

Risk Management plays a central role in the modern financial industry, by modelling the potential costs that could arise from changes in the markets or the broader economy. Using advanced statistical techniques, estimates can be made of the value at risk if extreme events were to occur. This allows financial institutions to take pre-emptive action such as hedging their exposure using derivatives contracts. Students on the Financial Risk Management degree will learn theories exploring market, credit and enterprise risk, whilst gaining expertise in the statistical software that is used to measure these risks. There is an integrated placement year, which allows students to gain valuable practical experience working in a professional environment. Scholarships - View all scholarships Internships
