About the course

This dual program lets you combine study in advanced information technology with a wide range of majors from the world of science. UQ's Bachelor of Information Technology will set you up for any number of career options working with computers and information, where you can apply your technical skills to solve problems, support innovation and improve communication between people. Topics covered include accounting, economics, law, marketing, business and strategy, and you'll also learn about software engineering, design, mathematics and information systems. The science program offers one of the broadest selections of disciplines in Australia, enabling you to develop your interdisciplinary scientific knowledge and practical skills while pursuing studies that suit your interests and ambitions. You'll also have the chance to gain relevant, real-world experience through employability and work-integrated learning. You'll graduate with highly developed knowledge in your specialist area, superior technical abilities, and advanced independent thinking and communication skills.

　　Study a major in Marine Biology and apply key principles from ecology, zoology, botany and genetics to examine marine life and investigate their biological relationship to their natural environments. Led by AustraliaÂ's leading marine researchers, youÂ'll be exposed to a variety of marine habitats and environmental conditions. Gain extensive field work experience at UQÂ's Heron Island Research Station on the southern Great Barrier Reef and UQÂ's Moreton Bay Research Station on North Stradbroke Island. How to apply

Entry requirements for The University of Queensland

BInfTech: Queensland Year 12 or equivalent English, Mathematics B.

　　BSc: Queensland Year 12 or equivalent English, Mathematics B plus one of Chemistry or Physics.

　　International Baccalaureate: 29. IELTS: Overall Band Score of 6.5 AND a minimum score of 6 in each sub-band of Writing, Reading, Speaking and Listening. TOEFL (Internet-Based-iBT): Overall score 87 with a Writing score of 21 and Reading, Speaking and Listening scores of 19. TOEFL (Paper-based): Overall score of 570 and a minimum score of 5.0 in the Test of Written English (TWE) and 54 in Listening and Reading.
