Units: to include two science A-levels or equivalent
Subjects:
A-level: minimum grade C in A-level Chemistry and one other science subject (second science can be Biology, Physics or Maths). General Studies and Critical Thinking not accepted. A minimum of AS Biology is required when Biology A-level not taken.

BTEC Diploma/Extended Diploma in Applied Science (Chemistry) only must have merits in the following units:
Unit 1 : Principles and Applications in Science 1
Unit 5: Principles and Applications in Science 2
Unit 13: Applications of Inorganic Chemistry
Unit 14: Applications of Organic Chemistry
GCSE: candidates are normally required to hold five GCSE subjects grades A*–C (or comparable numeric score under the newly reformed GCSE grading): five subjects including English Language, Mathematics and Double Award Science.
