About the course

Sacred Heart?s dynamic and flexible mathematics curriculum prepares students for a variety of career paths, including teaching, business, actuarial science, engineering, computing and data science. The actuarial science track is for students who want to pursue a career as an actuary (professionals who manage and measure risk and uncertainty). This track prepares students for their first three actuarial exams. This track prepares students to pass two actuarial exams: Exam P and Exam FM, and also prepares students with material towards Exam LTAM. Sacred Heart University is one of the few universities in Connecticut included in the Society of Actuaries UCAP (Universities and Colleges with Actuarial Programs) list.
