About the course

The BS in Education: Dance Education -- the only such program on Long Island – is designed to prepare students to become skilled dance instructors at the K-12 education level. Upon successful completion of the program, students will be eligible for New York state initial certification as a teacher of dance in all grades. Students benefit from attending and participating in festivals, workshops, special dance programs, and performances with our highly accomplished faculty. Hofstra’s proximity to New York City enriches the curriculum. How to apply

Entry requirements for Hofstra University - INTO USA

Admitted students intending to enroll at the university must submit their final high school transcript or proof of degree (copy of high school diploma) to the Office of Admission. Students are not permitted to begin classes at Hofstra until proof of their high school degree is received.

　　Your application should include your secondary school record, a personal statement or essay and a TOEFL or IELTS score report (if English is not your first language) or SAT or ACT exam score (see below.)

　　an internet-based-TOEFL (IBT) score of 80 or higher , paper-based TOEFL score of 550 or higher or computerized TOEFL score of 213 or higher.
