About the course

The Bachelor of Science in Data Science & Environmental and Sustainability Sciences provides a foundation in a range of environmental topics, including earth history, environmental planning, and spatial analysis. You’ll also study the collection, manipulation, storage, retrieval, and computational analysis of data in its various forms, gaining skills in environmental data analysis. In this program, you’ll develop an integrative understanding of how data can be used to understand and solve problems big and small within environmental science. Understanding these processes requires acquisition and analysis of large amounts of data—an ideal fit with data science, where students study the collection, manipulation, storage, retrieval, and computational analysis of data in its various forms, including numeric, textual, image, and video data from small to large volumes.
