About the course
The Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science and Economics (ASEC) degree prepares students for one of the top-rated careers nationwide. Actuarial science students take an intensive curriculum in mathematics, statistics, finance, and economics. The program provides courses in all of the areas of study recommended by the leading actuarial societies to prepare for an actuarial career. Students should pass two or three of the professional exams sponsored by the actuarial societies before they graduate. Students who earn an actuarial science degree and pass professional-society exams have excellent opportunities for careers in the insurance industry and careers in the related fields of finance and consulting.
