About the course

Grow your acting skills in a training program focused on preparing you for the film and television industry. In Academy of Art University?s BFA Acting program, you will develop a professional demo reel showcasing your ability to create engaging characters on film. Learn to act from a place of authenticity in our series of Meisner classes, deepen your sense of play through improvisation, expand your physical and vocal choices through a progression of Alexander Technique for Camera and Voice and Speech classes. Go in depth in our script analysis and rehearsal techniques classes. Use your electives to study Stunts & Fights, Character Voices for Games, Animation & Cartoons, Accents & Dialects, or Comedy for Social Media. You will graduate with plenty of practice in professional audition technique and a reel of work that showcases your talents.

　　Play a variety of actions in pursuit of an objective

How to apply

Entry requirements for Academy of Art University

Official high school transcripts and diploma. College transcripts (if applicable) must show the classes/subject, grades, credits, and number of hours completed for each class. You may submit your application for admission before taking the test. More information is available online for TOEFL and for IELTS. While we do not require these scores and do not have a minimum score requirement, you will be evaluated for English language proficiency upon arrival at Academy of Art University.
