Topics Covered
While the entrepreneurship degree is designed to help students start their own business, it is broad and flexible enough to help students succeed in finding a job in the corporate environment. Students cover concepts from management, marketing, and finance and may use electives to add competencies in information technology useful for launching e-businesses.
Entrepreneurship Careers
Students often choose this degree if they have a business in mind or know they want to be self-employed.
Many large companies have internal product development centers in which new markets are explored and new products developed. Even though financing is not as much of a problem in these large firms, other elements of the entrepreneurship process are much the same.
Some occupations have high self-employment and will be supported by an entrepreneurship degree. Agricultural managers, cosmetologists, doctors, lawyers, photographers, real estate agents, and restaurant owners are some of the occupations that can benefit from an entrepreneurial degree.
