About the course

The Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics has five distinct concentrations so that students can select an appropriate pathway depending on their career goals. Each of the concentrations enables students to develop the following: the ability to construct mathematical proofs, the ability to think analytically and critically, and to formulate problems, solve them and interpret their solutions, the ability to utilize technology when doing mathematics, and communicate mathematics in written and oral forms. The program prepares students to be competitive in the job market and/or to pursue graduate education. The Department of Mathematics offers a standard undergraduate major program in mathematics with concentrations in Actuarial Science, Applied Mathematics, Probability and Statistics, Pure Mathematics and Teaching Mathematics. How to apply

Entry requirements for California State University - Fullerton

Applicants who are graduates of foreign secondary schools must have preparation equivalent to that required of eligible California high school graduates. The university will carefully review the previous record of all such applicants and only those with promise of academic success equivalent to that of eligible California high school graduates will be admitted. Undergraduate applicants must achieve a score of 500 on the paper-based TOEFL exam or 61 on the internet TOEFL. We accept test results from the IELTS exam. The minimum score for undergraduate applicants is 5.5.
