About the course

The undergraduate (B.A.) program includes courses in Ceramics, Interdisciplinary Studio, New Genres, Painting & Drawing, Photography and Sculpture. The program also encourages the integration of studio work with an inquiry into the global, historical, and scholarly aspects of the visual arts, providing the framework to assist each student in the development of their own body of work.

　　The Photography Area defines photography broadly as a lens-based medium, and has a rich history of alumni who practice in both traditional and experimental modes. The area concentrates on issues of contemporary photography, encompassing print, installation, and video. The medium of photography?s history is discussed through a unique understanding of the historical/material relationship in fine-art photography. How to apply

Entry requirements for University of California

As an undergraduate you may apply for admission as a freshman first year or a transfer student.

　　Youre a freshman applicant if you completed secondary school and have not enrolled in a regular session at any college or university UCLA does not admit students into any undergraduate program who already hold Bachelors degrees nor do we admit students who have the equivalent of three years 130 quarter-units or more of transferable university work You may not disregard your college record and apply as a freshman.

　　3.4 GPA - Non-residents must earn a minimum 3.4 GPA in all A-G or college-preparatory courses to meet this requirement.

　　International Baccalaureate IB Students enrolled in IB schools are expected to earn scores of 5 or higher on IB exams and most admitted students score 38 plus or 42 points on the IB Diploma.

　　Transcripts and Official Records -

　　They require records from the secondary schools you have attended that show subjects taken and grades received as well as any national or government certificates earned.
