Work Placement
This program offers a co-op option. Participating in co-op will enable you to gain valuable hands-on work experience related to your program of study, and enhance your career-readiness when you graduate. You apply first to the regular academic program. During Semester 2 you will have the opportunity to apply to the co-op stream. For students who are accepted into co-op, three consecutive, paid co-op work terms will take place between Semesters 4 and 5. Work terms are four months each, for a total of 12 months (one year) of work experience, prior to the final year of study.
While co-op work opportunities are not guaranteed, as students are in a competitive job placement market, participating students will receive a wide range of services to help them succeed in their job search and entry into the workplace. Humber also works with business, industry and government to identify placement opportunities for students.
