A telephone survey of 1,000 U.S. respondents made by Braun Research Inc. on behalf of Bank of America between April 13-26, 2015. Respondents were adults 18 and older with a current banking relationship and who own a smartphone.
• 55 percent reported that their smartphone was on the nightstand at night.
• 35 percent reported that their smartphone was the first thing on their minds in the morning, as opposed to 10 percent who reported that it was their significant other that was first on their minds.
• 54 percent of younger millennials reported that they were constantly checking their phones.
• 42 percent reported using a mobile banking app a few times a week.
