Aerospace engineering graduate Merafelina Chotoo, who now works at Collins Aerospace, landed several key internships while studying at EMBRY-RIDDLE. They included a co-op in the component engineering department at Delta Air Lines when she was a sophomore that allowed her to visit countries such as Spain, South Korea, Peru and Brazil.

Wanjiku Chebet Kanjumba earned her B.S. and M.S. in aerospace engineering at EMBRY-RIDDLE and was also the first Kenyan graduate of the prestigious scientist-astronaut program Project PoSSUM, which stands for Polar Suborbital Science in the Upper Mesosphere.
In addition to studying global climate through the program, Kanjumba also co-founded a company called Vicillion, a project development and engineering firm focused on bringing innovative product ideas to life.

Prospective students must complete the university's online application, which includes the submission of high school or college transcripts. The 2022 acceptance rate for Embry-Riddle undergraduate admissions was 65 percent, with successful students submitting an average SAT score of between 1040 and 1330 or an average ACT score of between 23 and 29. There is a non-refundable application fee of USD 50 for all students, and certain programs may require additional documentation.
