About the course

The Teaching English Abroad Certificate prepares candidates to become teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) in U.S. settings as well as teachers of English as a foreign language (EFL) or English as a second language (ESL) in international settings. Certificate Requirements (15 credits). Students may earn the certificate in conjunction with a undergraduate degree or as a standalone certificate as a non-degree seeking student. How to apply

Entry requirements for University of North Florida

Admissions decisions at UNF are rendered based on academic merit. The state of Florida has implemented minimum admission standards for freshman applicants to all Florida public state universities. In order to be considered, students must have a minimum 2.5 recalculated GPA on a 4.0 scale and meet minimum test score requirements.

　　Regardless of when they graduated from high school, students applying as first-time-in-college (FTIC) applicants are required to submit either SAT, ACT and/or CLT test scores. UNF does not require the essay section of the SAT or ACT.

　　A minimum TOEFL score of 79 internet-based (550 paper-based or 213 computer-based)

　　A band score of 6.5 on the University of Cambridge IELTS
