About the course
The Specialist of Arts Degree in Special Education is designed to prepare highly qualified leadership personnel in administration and supervision of special education programs and curriculum development/assistive technology. This program is geared toward professionals who already possess a master?s degree, have an endorsement in at least one area of special education, and have at least three years of documented professional experience in special education. This program will enable you to advance yourself in your chosen area of expertise in special education. Students in this program can take advantage of all that the College of Education has to offer. Those interested may seek advising, apply for scholarships, and participate in activities both in Special Education, the home department for this graduate certificate, and in the Department of Special Education & Communication Sciences and Disorders.
