About the course
Students who complete a Major in Child Studies will have developed knowledge and critical thinking about issues relating to the development and education of children. This Major prepares students for university studies in any Social Science discipline but is especially designed for students interested in pursuing university studies in Primary and Secondary Education, Social Work, or Child Psychology.
A student who graduates with a Major in Child Studies will have a better understanding and appreciation for the sociological and psychological aspects of a child?s development and education such as the role of society and family in that development and learning process and the role, place and importance of children in society.
