About the course
Our Pre-sessional programmes are open to students who hold an offer for a Durham University degree programme and have narrowly missed their language condition. Students with unconditional offers are also welcome to take the course.The deadline for applying to any of these programmes is two weeks before the course start date, but you should apply as soon as possible to allow enough time for application processing and to apply for your visa.The courses are 20, 10 or 5 weeks long, and are designed to help you develop the academic language and literacy skills you will need to succeed in your academic department.
