About the course

Build your midwifery assessment and decision-making skills across the full range of midwifery practice with the School of Nursing, Midwifery, and Health Practice.

　　Through clinical contact and theoretical knowledge you'll extend your experience, knowledge, skills and practice in complex maternity care.

　　To qualify for entry you'll need a Bachelor's degree in Midwifery or equivalent, and you must be a registered midwife with a current practising certificate from the Midwifery Council of New Zealand.

　　Once you have completed the Postgraduate Certificate in Midwifery, you can apply to include your qualification towards a Postgraduate Diploma in Health (Midwifery). Scholarships - View all scholarships Internships

Entry requirements for Victoria University of Wellington

A Bachelor's degree

　　To be registered as a midwife

　　Acceptance by the programme director as capable of proceeding with the proposed course of study

　　IELTS minimum overall score of 6.5 with no subscore below 6.0

　　TOEFL: minimum score of 90 for the internet-based test with a minimum of 20 in writing
