About the course

We have an international reputation for our research and we are one of the largest and most active groups for pure mathematics research in the UK. We work ly with colleagues across applied mathematics and statistics. We host the Leeds Algebra Group and the Leeds Logic Group, which are recognised as ‘Gold Peaks of Excellence’ within the University. These peaks reflect the wealth of expertise, external recognition and reputation for international excellence and world-leading research in the group. To complete a postgraduate research programme, you’ll need to be dedicated and passionate about your area of study. But it’ll be well worth it. How to apply

Entry requirements for University of Leeds

You must have achieved a bachelor degree with a 2:1 (hons), or equivalent, or a good performance in a Masters level course in a relevant subject. We also recognise relevant industrial and academic experience. IELTS - an overall band of 6.0 with no individual skill band below 5.5 in all components iBT TOEFL - (Internet-based Test of English as a Foreign Language): a score of 87 overall with Listening 20, Reading 20, Speaking 22, Writing 21.
