About the course

The Food Service Worker program is a one-semester inclusive undertaking that will provide you with the knowledge and skills to be an effective member of an interprofessional health care team in Health care facilities.

　　This program was developed in conjunction with the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, professional organizations and employers. It meets current government standards and employer requirements by incorporating lecture and practical experience in a food lab as you'll learn about quantity food preparation, basic therapeutic diets and nutrition, proper sanitation and safety practices, effective communication and quality customer service.

　　To round out your training, you'll participate in an arranged work experience field placement. This aspect of the program will provide you with hands-on experience that will allow you to apply classroom learning in a real world work situation. Scholarships - View all scholarships Internships

Entry requirements for Centennial College of Applied Arts and Technology

Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, or mature student status (19 years or older)

　　IELTS - 6.0 with no band score less than 5.5
