Entry requirements for University of Southampton
Honours Degree:
Our normal entry requirement is an upper second-class honours degree or higher (or equivalent) in a related discipline such as engineering, physics or applied mathematics.
We require a minimum 2:1 degree overall (or equivalent) in a related discipline and 2:1 in the required modules. Electrical Machines, Power Systems (power system control, electrical power systems, energy power systems, transmissions and distribution of electrical power, power generation). High voltage Engineering, Applied Electromagnetics, Electrotechnics, Electrical apparatus, Power Electronics, Converters.
If English is not your first language, you will be required to pass an approved English test. We normally ask for IELTS 6.5 overall with at least 6.0 in each competency.
