The course shares its first two years with the Pharmaceutical Science BSc (Hons) programme and provides a wide understanding of all aspects of the pharmaceutical industry. In Year 3 you'll deepen your knowledge of natural product chemistry. You'll develop skills for testing and evaluating the safety and effectiveness of pharmaceutical products. BTEC Diploma: BTEC Diploma/Extended Diploma in Applied Science (Chemistry) only must have merits in the following units:

Unit 13: Applications of Inorganic Chemistry
Unit 14: Applications of Organic Chemistry
GCSE: candidates are normally required to hold five GCSE subjects grades A*–C (or comparable numeric score under the newly reformed GCSE grading): minimum of five subjects including Chemistry and Biology (or double award Science), English Language and Mathematics.
