About the course

Pharmacy is a rewarding career, especially for those who enjoy helping other people maintain their health and wellness. A Pharmacy MPharm degree can kickstart your educational journey to becoming a pharmacist. Throughout your studies you’ll gain a solid understanding of chemistry and other organic sciences, medicines and drug development, medical pharmacology, and human physiology and pathology. Your classroom knowledge will also be supplemented with practical pharmaceutical experience.

  As a graduate of this advanced course, you'll be well prepared to enter foundation year training, leading to registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), which will aid you in your journey to becoming a qualified pharmacist in the UK.

How to apply

Entry requirements for University of Huddersfield

A Levels in Chemistry and at least one further science subject from Biology, Maths or Physics. Chemistry A Level is essential. If you are not studying Biology, then Maths or Physics are accepted but high grades ie AAB would be expected. The endorsement for practical work is an essential part of Science A Level study, and is a requirement for entry to our degree course.

  Offers are based on 3 A Level subjects in the region of AAB/ABB and are influenced by subjects being studied, predicted grades and performance at a selection day.

  If you are studying BTEC National Diploma (18 units) (not including Early Years), DDD is required and is acceptable only when combined with other Science related qualifications. Please contact the Admissions Tutor for advice.

  If you are studying an Access to Higher Education Diploma please contact the Admissions Tutor who will give you advice about your application.

  136 UCAS tariff points from International Baccalaureate qualifications, including Higher Level Chemistry at grade 6 and Higher Level Mathematics and Biology at grade 6 and 5 (in any order).

  Candidates for whom English is not the first language are required to have International English Language Testing System (IELTS) at a score of 7.0 overall with a minimum of 6.5 in all components (or equivalent) is required.
