About the course
This programme provides you with the skills and experience needed to progress your music performance to the next level. With support from professionals in the industry and the expert guidance of our lecturers, you will develop your craft as a prospective professional musician. Our MMus Performance develops solo and ensemble performance, teaching, and research skills appropriate to performance.
Here at Liverpool you will learn in an interdisciplinary teaching and research environment and with a diverse and international student community.
With dedicated small group and one-on-one teaching, the department offers a vibrant and active performance environment, and opportunities to develop connections with local and national music institutions.

How to apply
Entry requirements for University of Liverpool
You will need at least a 2.1 undergraduate degree (or its equivalent) in any discipline. We shall look at candidates not simply in the light of conventional profiles, but with regard to individual qualities. Hence, mature students with non-traditional backgrounds - particulary if you have music industry experience - are encouraged to apply. Applications from international students are welcome. International qualifications will be evaluated in line with the National Recognition Information Centre (NARIC) guidelines. In addition to the materials described above, international students should also include a transcript of their MAs and undergraduate degree work. IELTS Overall 6.5 (with a minimum of 6.0 in each component) , TOEFL iBT - 88 or above with minimum scores in components as follows: Listening and Writing 21, Reading 22, Speaking 23. International Baccalaureate - Standard Level (Grade 5)
