About the course

Nanotechnology research focuses on materials and devices at the scale of one-thousandth the size of a human hair for it. Applications of such devices include medical diagnostics, advanced digital cameras, programmable x-ray sources, optical data communications and clean energy generation from light harvesting bacteria. ECE nanotechnology researchers are fabricating and assembling electronics, sensors, and carbon nanotubes used in the power and energy, manufacturing and aerospace sectors. 　　A 3.0 GPA in the accredited undergraduate program in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering. For the Graduate School, the minimum acceptable TOEFL score is 550 (paper-based) 213 (computer-based), or 79 (internet-based). The minimum IELTS score is 6.5 An overall grade point average of 2.75 on undergraduate work and 3.00 on all graduate work is required by the Graduate School.
