About the course
The Master of Urban and Environmental Planning is Australia's only postgraduate program that equips you with the qualifications to work as a traditional town planner as well as an environmental professional. Taught by leading Australian and international academics in urban and regional planning, environmental planning, transport planning, social and cultural planning, and tourism planning, the programs cover the theoretical knowledge and practical skills planners need to deal effectively with contemporary planning and development challenges.
This program will equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to respond to emerging planning and development challenges. It will sharpen your ability to evaluate, analyse and create innovative solutions, and communicate them effectively. You will be prepared for employment in government, the private sector and non-governmental organisations in areas that include planning and urban policy, development preparation and assessment, transport and local area planning, and regional and strategic planning. How to apply
Entry requirements for Griffith University
hold a Bachelor degree from a recognised University (or another tertiary education institution of equivalent standing) with a minimum GPA of 4.5. Planning related Bachelor degrees will be assessed by the Program Director to determine whether the degree is appropriate for admission. Students with a Planning related Bachelor degree may be eligible for up to 40 credit points of credit.
OR hold a Griffith Graduate Certificate in Urban and Environmental Planning with a minimum GPA of 4.5. These students will be eligible for 40 credit points of advanced standing.
A minimum overall band score of 6.5 on IELTS (Academic) with no sub-score of less than 6.0
OR a minimum score of 575 on TOEFL
OR an internet-based (iBT) TOEFL score of 79 (no sub-score less than 19)
