  The Master of Speech Language Pathology is a graduate entry program designed to accommodate all qualified candidates regardless of their previous discipline. A career in speech pathology gives you the opportunity to work across hospitals, private practice, schools and early childhood services.

  The Master of Speech Language Pathology is a postgraduate coursework degree that will prepare you for professional practice as a speech pathologist, developing the skills to assess and treat people of all ages, backgrounds and cultures, and change lives by making it easier for people to communicate with others or swallow safely. Graduates from this program are qualified for practising membership of Speech Pathology Australia which allows them to work as speech pathologists in Australia.

How to apply

Entry requirements for The University of Sydney

To be eligible to apply you will need to fulfil the following criteria:

  An Australian bachelor's degree, master's or PhD from an Australian institution or equivalent.

  A minimum GPA of 4.5 out of 7.0 which is an approximate Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 60 percent. This does not guarantee an offer as the places are limited and offers are made based on academic merit.

  TOEFL-IBT- A minimum result of 96 overall including a minimum result of 23 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 25 in Writing

  IELTS score- A minimum result of 7.0 overall and a minimum result of 7.0 in each band

  TOEFL - PBT score- A minimum result of 592 overall including a minimum result of 5.0 in Writing
